ŠKOBERNE AT THE PES CONGRESS: NO TIME FOR POPULISM.

In addition to the May 1st Institute, more than 10 progressive political foundations participated in the congress, which was attended by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, among others, during which there was an intensive discussion about future challenges, project partnerships and key solutions for the future. Škoberne thus met, among others, the delegations of FEPS, FES, Renner, Labor and Jean Jaures.

In the debate on the future of Eastern Europe, organized by FES and in which the president of the German SPD also participated, he particularly emphasized the importance of expanding the EU as soon as possible, the necessary reform for greater democratic union, and the assessment that in today’s world there is no more time for populism , because we need political solutions of a new generation, based on knowledge and broad involvement, if we want to successfully navigate through the polycrisis period.
